When I founded Rev Up Your Wealth & Co., my mission was clear:
to help people understand money, take control of their finances, and move toward financial independence.
That mission still matters deeply to me.
But in 2025, something expanded.
Not all at once.
Not through a business strategy or a financial forecast.
But through moments—quiet, emotional, and impossible to ignore.
A Conversation I’ll Never Forget
One of those moments happened while sitting next to my adult son at my mother-in-law’s memorial service for her mother. As we listened to our pastor speak about life, legacy, and what we leave behind, my son leaned over and said something that stopped me cold.
He asked me to please make sure I have all my legacy details in order.
Not because he was worried about money—but because he never wants to have to stand up one day, heartbroken, trying to explain to the world what his mom felt, what she believed, and what truly mattered to her.
And he was right.
Legacy isn’t just about what we leave behind when we pass.
It’s about the conversations we avoid.
The clarity we postpone.
The little details we assume we’ll “get to later.”
That moment changed how I think about empowerment.
It made me realize it’s about so much more than finances alone.
The System Is Broken—and I Saw It Coming Years Ago
Another defining experience in 2025 came through a client I worked with recently.
I helped her understand how she no longer needed to lose money in the market—something she had experienced before. That mattered. But what truly shook me was this:
She worked in higher education for over 30 years, and she couldn’t retire in her 60s because she still had student loan debt. She didn’t retire until she was over 70.
And she isn’t alone.
For decades, while working in the automotive industry, I sat across from people every day, reading their credit bureaus and knowing exactly how—and where—to place their loans with different banks.
What always stopped me cold was the amount of student loan debt compared to someone’s annual salary.
I remember thinking this 20 years ago:
These people are going to be paying on this for years.
Now, it’s come full circle.
I’m speaking with people in their 60s who are still carrying student loan debt—at a stage of life when they should be thinking about freedom, not financial survival.
Our system encourages education, achievement, and “doing the right thing,” yet asks people to sign on the dotted line for debt that follows them for decades.
To me, that isn’t just unfortunate—it’s broken.
And I can’t ignore it anymore.
That’s when I realized my work could no longer stop at helping people manage money.
I’m here to help people break free from systems that were never designed for them to truly thrive.
My Vision Has Expanded—Completely
Rev Up Your Wealth & Co. began with financial empowerment.
But it has evolved into human empowerment.
I want to empower people to:
- Think differently
- Be different
- Question systems that no longer serve them
- Explore entrepreneurial avenues instead of feeling trapped as employees
- Avoid reaching 60 feeling stuck, depleted, and out of options
Money is still part of the conversation—but it’s no longer the whole story.
This is about purpose.
This is about legacy.
This is about choice.
A Call to the Right People
As I step into 2026, I’m not looking to attract everyone.
I’m calling in:
- Purpose-driven minds
- Leaders who care about impact
- People who want to stand up, think bigger, and help others do the same
- Those who believe empowerment should touch every area of life
If you feel this—if something in this story resonates with you—then you may already be part of what’s next.
I don’t just want clients.
I want a team.
A community.
A movement.
This is the evolution of Rev Up Your Wealth & Co.
And we’re just getting started.
